Block cookies option
In the Privacy & Security section, tap Block Cookies. On the new screen, tap on Always, ‘From third parties and advertisers’ or Never to select your security level.
Smart Search Field
This provides keywords to use when conducting a search. Tap to enhance the facility. Switch on Search Engine Suggestions and Preload Top Hit to access past searches.
Search engine change
You can choose your preferred search engine for Safari. Tap the Search Engine option and you will be taken to a new screen. Select one of three options: Google, Yahoo or Bing.
Passwords & AutoFill
A new screen will present a range of options to allow your data to automatically fill web forms. Saved Passwords features a list of websites you have previously accessed.
More advanced options
Tap the Advanced setting to be taken to a new screen with three further options. Tap Website Data to be taken to a new screen listing all accrued data. Tap on Remove All Website Data to clear it. To use JavaScript programming within the browser, swipe JavaScript to On. Finally, swipe Web Inspector to On to connect to a computer, via USB, to access your iPad from the Developer menu to debug and optimise Safari.
