Make a Group and Add Contacts on iPad

Make a Group:

As with any list, the more data you add, the more difficult it is to keep organised. One great way to keep up with your contacts is by creating groups. Groups enable you to send a message to more than one person, without having to select the separate contacts and can save you a lot of time.

The only way to create a group for an iPad is by going to www.icloud.com on a computer. Log in using your Apple ID and click the Contacts app. Now click the ‘+’ icon. Select New Group and name it. Click All Contacts and drag people’s names from the list to your new group.

When you open the Contacts app on your iPad and tap Groups, you will see your new group and its contacts under iCloud.

Add contacts from other accounts

Add contacts from gmail yahoo

If you have a lot of contacts stored with Google or Yahoo! (perhaps you are migrating to iOS from Android), then you can add contacts from those accounts. For Google, open up the Settings app and go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Select Add Account and then Microsoft Exchange. Enter your Google email address into the Email field and leave the domain blank. Enter your Google or Yahoo! account password and press Next. Now enter m.google.com in the server field and leave the domain blank. Enter the email as the Username. Now look at the Settings for Exchange and ensure Contacts are turned on.

For Yahoo!, go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Add Account>Yahoo and then enter your name, email, password and account description. Tap Next and ensure Contacts are on in the Settings for Yahoo! Mail. You can now access all of your contacts in all of your accounts.
