Switch Between cameras / Use the front or rear camera

FaceTime gives you a couple of camera options. When you are in a call, you can switch between the two cameras on your iPad. The front-facing camera is best used for showing yourself on a call whilst the rear-facing camera is useful for displaying your current surroundings.

You can switch between these two cameras at any time during a call by tapping the camera icon in the lower left corner (to the right of the End button). Within the main window of the app is a smaller screen. This is an image of what the other caller is seeing at their end of the call. Use this to make sure that they have a clear view of what you want them to see at your end.
