Photographic maps Changing map view types

There are three main map views to choose from, these can be switched between by tapping the ‘i’ icon in the bottom right of the screen. The options are Standard, Satellite and Hybrid. Standard mode is a traditional road map style view. Satellite mode provides you with maps made up of Satellite photography.

The Hybrid view is a mixture between the two where satellite imagery is blended with location names and road markings. When in Map view, you can tap on the main screen to make the menus disappear, this will provide you with a full screen map view.

Search for a location Using the search function

Maps features a simple search bar that sits at the top of the app. Tap the bar or the ‘x’ icon and start entering a location. Select a result and a map will open on that location. Use pinch gestures to zoom or rotate two fingers two rotate the view. You can also drag or push two fingers to tilt the viewing angle.
